Thank you for considering Above Ground Winery to participate in your fund-raising efforts. We receive multiple requests weekly for donations. To simplify the process for our small staff, we review requests during our Call for Consideration each November for the following calendar year. Our budget planning for 2021 has ended. If you would like to be considered for the 2022 fundraising year, please let us know the details between November 1, and November 15, 2021. Requests made between November 16, 2020 and October 31, 2021 will not be considered. Call for Consideration occurs each November. Details needed are:
- Name of Organization
- Filing status (example 501c3)
- Organization Address
- Organization website
- Contact person and Phone number
- Type of donation requested (be specific, example: tasting for 4, gift card of $20)
- Type of event of applicable, and details of event (example: cocktail party, concert)
- Purpose of donation (example: new hospital wing, canine surgery)
When making you request, be sure that you are knowledgeable about our winery and tasting room by visiting our website at www.agwinery.com. We will make our decisions in December and follow-up with an email to your organization’s contact in January. We have taken the position that we do not donate to schools or activities involving underage population. We do give priority to military organizations and animal rescues. Virginia ABC prohibits donation or third party acquisition of alcoholic beverages. Keep this in mind when making your request.

Our newest charity event brought together a litter of adopted puppies and owners for a “Fun-Raising” event. 50% of tasting fees and 50% of wine-by-the-glass sales along with generous donations contributed to over $450 in just 3 hours.
